Lighting the Fire
Lighting the Fire was founded by Mike Glenn a few years
ago. The church here supported Mike while he was at
Sanford, North Carolina and has supported Lighting the
Fire since it began.
Lighting the
Fire is a work
in which Mike takes in a preacher who has become discouraged
and mentors him and re-strengthens him. Usually, the
preacher is placed with a small congregation with growth
potential. This enables the preacher to become heavily
involved with the work. Currently, Mike is working with one
man in the Crossville, Tennessee area. He has had inquiries
from several other discouraged preachers wanting his help.
This work provides two opportunities:
1.
To keep preachers from becoming
discouraged and quitting.
2.
An area where Adamsville can
actively campaign and be a part of a mission work.
Our plan is for Adamsville to have active involvement with
the congregations he is working
with.
